Cecilia A. Mowatt 
Cecilia A. Mowatt is an attorney, with extensive
experience in corporate strategy, asset management and real estate
transactions. Ms. Mowatt, formerly the first international president
of GVA Worldwide, a real estate services firm, launched her own
real estate consulting firm, Strategies In Site, Inc., at the
end of 2002. Prior to GVA, Ms. Mowatt was an executive with Chicago
based McDonald’s and Ameritech. She started her career with
the Securities & Exchange Commission.
Ms. Mowatt is currently on the boards of Family
Focus, Inc., a Chicago-based family resource and support organization,
and the Episcopal Church Council. Prior directorships include
the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Wine and Food,
the Latin School Alumni Association and Board of Trustees, Latin
American Bar Association, Black Women Lawyers Association, Stanford
Club of Illinois and Chicago Work Ethic.
Her volunteer activities, which often focus on supporting
and mentoring children, have included the Junior League of Chicago,
St. James Episcopal Cathedral, Constitutional Rights Foundation,
Chicago Legal Assistance for Incarcerated Mothers, and the Cook
County Bar Assoc. Community Law Project.
Ms. Mowatt continues to be active in a number of professional
and industry organizations related to law and real estate.
She has a B.A. from Stanford University, and a J.D.,
M.B.A. from University of California –Berkeley.
